‘Plant Symphony’ is an experimental audio-visual project created by composer, Guillermo Batiz and poet Tamryn Bennett. In collaboration with plants, parks, botanical gardens and galleries ‘Plant Symphony’ uses ultrasonic technologies to record bio-acoustic emissions. These recordings are made into participatory ‘plant symphonies’ that allow audiences to listen to the frequencies of plants. ‘Plant Symphony’ explores how sound shapes ecology and what impact introduced species have on the harmonies of native ecosystems.
